Error Messages

Check the connections and the settings
Make certain that the RS-232 cable leading from the USB-to-serial,
9-pin converter is connected to any COM port on the controller
except COM 3.
Check the System Summary printout to make certain that 'HPV-20' is
assigned to COM 1.
Make certain that the other RS-232 cable is connected to the null-
modem adapter attached to the serial port on the e-PC at one end and
to COM 1 on the controller at the other end.
Check the System Summary printout to make certain that
"Back_Office" is set to 'RubyLink' and the COM port is the same
one to which the RS-232 cable from the USB-to-serial converter is
connected.
Ensure that an HPV-20 Ruby Card is in the memory card access tray.
System Software Installation
If the compact disk fails to audibly beep the software version number within
about minute after first powering up the e-PC with the "HPV-20 Partitioning
Software" inserted, and/or within three minutes after inserting the "HPV-20
Imaging Software," do the following:
1. Unplug the USB-to-serial, 9-pin converter until the hard drive light
starts to blink.
2. Plug it back in.
