6.2- Encoder Connections and Controls

6.2.1- Front Panel
1. SD Card Slot
Insert an SD Card for Recording Video Events.
2. Alarm In, RS485, and Relay Connections
Connections for Alarm IN, RS485 control, and Relay In & Out.
3. Network LED
Flickers indicating Network activity.
4. Power LED
Illuminates when Encoder is powered On.
6.2.2- Rear Panel
1. Video Out (1 to 4)
Connect to the Video In of an analog DVR, Monitor, or other device with a Coax input.
2. Video In (1 to 4)
Connect to the Video Out of an analog Encoder.
3. Audio In (RCA Mono)
Connect to the Audio Out of an Analog Camera or Microphone.
4. Audio Out (RCA Mono)
Connect to the Audio In of an analog DVR, Amplifier, or other device with a Coax input.
5. RS232 Connection
This connection is used to restore the Encoder to factory defaults. See section
6. Ethernet Port (10/100Mbps)
Connect to a 1Gbps router or switch.
7. DC Power Connection
Connect to the included 12V DC 1.5A Power Supply.
