Stopping the engine

Vehicles with an automatic transmission
STEP 1
Stop the vehicle.
STEP 2
Shift the shift lever to P.
STEP 3
Set the parking brake. (P. 192)
STEP 4
Release the brake pedal.
STEP 5
Press the "ENGINE START STOP" switch.
STEP 6
Check that the smart entry & start system indicator light
(green) is off.
Vehicles with a manual transmission
STEP 1
While depressing the clutch pedal, stop the vehicle.
STEP 2
Shift the shift lever to N.
STEP 3
Set the parking brake. (P. 192)
STEP 4
Release the clutch pedal.
STEP 5
Press the "ENGINE START STOP" switch.
STEP 6
Check that the smart entry & start system indicator light
(green) is off.
