HARDWARE DESCRIPTION (SVMi-4)
SVMi-4 Main System
The SVMi-4 system is a compact, self-contained system designed for the DCS
Compact II and iDCS100. It cannot be used in any other Samsung product.
Only one SVMi-4 card can be installed in a telephone system. Do not use oth-
er voice mail systems in combination with the SVMi-4.
The main SVMi-4 system is a Single Board Computer with all related DSP circuit-
ry embedded on it. (See the diagram on
page 30
for the card layout.)
I-Button Socket For installing I-Button to upgrade from 2- to 4-port system.
Serial Port (SIO) The serial interface can be used to connect a modem or PC
to provide local or remote PC-based administration.
Memory Connector This is the connector to install the Compact Flash memory.
The memory is used to store all system programs and data.
Reset Button Pressing the RESET button during operation will disconnect all
callers and immediately restart the SVMi-4.
