Install The Rear Wheel - BMW R 1200 RT Rider's Manual

Parts of the exhaust system
can be hot.
Do not touch hot parts of the
exhaust system.
Slacken clamping screw 1 on
the silencer.
Do not remove the sealing
grease from the clamp.
Remove screw 2 for the brack-
et of the silencer from the rear
footrest.
Turn the silencer out.
Engage first gear.
Remove studs 3 from the rear
wheel, while supporting the
wheel.
Roll the rear wheel out toward
the rear.

Install the rear wheel

Possible malfunctions when
ABS and ASC systems in-
tervene if non-standard wheels
are installed.
