STEP 3. Switch on Acticare IC
Check that the therapy mode switch on the
bottom of the device is set to "TSE".

Press and release the ON/OFF
turn on the device. The therapy mode will be
momentarily displayed on the screen.
If using TSE for the first time, we recommend
TSE 1.

STEP 4. Commence treatment
When prompted by the message "PRESS + TO
BEGIN TREATMENT", press the plus
increase the treatment intensity until a light
tingling sensation is felt or the intensity
reaches 100%. Each press of the
increases the intensity by just 1%, holding the
key down causes the intensity to increase
gradually without the need for repeated
presses.
Typical intensity settings are 50% with
electrodes on the neck and 100% with
electrodes on the back in the default mode,
TSE 1.

The orange light on the top of the unit will
turn on to show that the treatment has
begun. The last used treatment time (or
factory default of 30 mins) is also shown.
The intensity is displayed as a percentage
from 0-100% at the bottom left of the screen
and as a bar graph at the top left, where each
segment represents 10%.
If the power bar at the top of the screen
flashes, this indicates the device is outputting
full current, which may happen at less than
100% intensity if the skin resistance is low.
This is not a problem, but there is no need to
increase the intensity level beyond this
setting.
Most people do not feel any sensation with
TSE 2, so it is fine to increase the output level
to 100%. A light tingling sensation is typical
using TSE 1 and TSE 3.
