Write protecting the HDD boot sector will protect the HDD
against boot sector viruses. However, this option may interfere with
the normal operation of certain operating systems or anti-virus
programs, which would normally need access to the boot sector area.
Diskette Access
This option requires prior setting of the Supervisor password to
function. When set to User, the system will then require either the
Supervisor or User password before allowing access to the Floppy
Disk Drive (FDD).

The Power Menu

The Power menu allows you to enable and adjust the Notebook' s
advanced power saving features. Enabling these features will extend
the life of the battery pack between charges. To make changes to
Power Management settings, select Power from the menu bar. The
following menu appears:
