SECTION 2
DRIVING YOUR MOTOR HOME
Leveling Jack Valves
Hydraulic Pump - Slideout/Leveling Systems
(top view from hood opening)
NOTE: Your coach may be equipped with one of
two types of hydraulic relief valves as
shown. Type 1 has a T-handle that can be
turned by hand. Type 2 has a small nut
that requires you to use a T-handled nut
driver tool which is provided in your
InfoCase. See the HWH Operator's
Manual included in your InfoCase for
specific instructions on which valves to
open for front or rear slideout rooms and
what additional precautions to follow.
Turn T-handle counter-clockwise until fully open. (*See
Note)

Slideout Valves
Use provided nut driver tool to turn nut
counterclockwise until fully open. (*See
note)
Hydraulic Pump Relief Valve Type-2
WARNING
Stop engine, place transmission in
park position and apply parking brake
before lying beneath vehicle for this
procedure.
· Open the slideout T-handle valves on the
driver side end of the pump only. Turn T-han-
dles counter-clockwise to open.
DO NOT OPEN ANY OF THE LEVELING
JACK VALVES ON THE RESERVOIR
END OF THE PUMP.
*NOTE:The T-handles may turn easily at first
but will become more difficult to turn as
internal springs are compressed. Be sure
to open both valves completely (about 6
turns of each T-handle).
Step 2 - Attach Winch and Crank Room
Inward
· Remove the register from the floor heat duct
and anchor the winch in the floor. Insert the
winch retainer bracket into the duct cutout in
the floor as shown.
