4.2.2 Features of the Command Line Interface

The VG Series Voice Gateways provide the command line
interface (CLI), which allows you to leave hierarchical protections
against unauthorized users. In system view, all the commands are put
into different groups for the convenience of management, each being
associated to a view. You can switch between the views by executing
some particular commands. In normal circumstances, you can only
execute the commands appropriate to the view that you access.
However, you are allowed to execute in any view some commands in
common use, such as ping, display, and interface. The CLI offers a
series of configuration commands for you to configure and manage
your voice gateway. It allows you to:
Configure the device locally through the console port.
