Selecting a Radio Channel

A channel is a group of radio characteristics, such as transmit/
receive frequency pairs.
Use the following procedure to select a channel.
Procedure:
If channel is set as the primary mode,

Turn the MFK until the display shows the desired channel
and press PTT to begin transmitting on the displayed.
If channel is not set as the primary mode, press the MFK once
and repeat step 1.

Press the Menu Select button directly below Chan. The
display shows the current channel.

Rotate the MFK or press
Press the Menu Select button directly below Sel or the 3

button (on the keypad mic.) to confirm the channel.

Receiving and Responding to a Radio Call

Once you have selected the required channel and/or zone, you
can proceed to receive and respond to calls.
You see solid red while the radio is transmitting, and solid
yellow when the radio is receiving a transmission (conventional
mode only). There is no LED indication when the radio receives
a transmission in trunking mode.
If the radio is receiving a secure transmission, the LED blinks
yellow.

Green LED
