Refer to the following charts when the status messages appear during your iPod or XM Satellite Radio operations on this
unit. If you experience a problem that is not listed below, or if the instruction below does not help, set this unit to the
standby mode, disconnect the power supply cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center.
• iPod
[n case of a transn_lission error with no status message appearing ill the front panel display and ill the OSD, check the connection
between your iPod and this unit.

Cause
This unit is in the lniddle of recognizing
the connection with your iPod.
This unit is in the middle of acquiring the
song lists from your iPod.
There is a problem with the signal path
from your iPod to this unit.
Your iPod is not supported by this unit.
The connection between your iPod and
this unit is completed.
Remedy
Turn off this unit and reconnect the Yamaha iPod
universal clock to the DOCK terminal of this unit.

Try resetting your iPod.
Only iPod (Click and Wheel), iPod nano, and iPod
mini are supported.

Cause
XM Mini-Tuner and Home Dock are not
connected to the XM.jack of this unit or
not working properly.
The XM user encryption code is being
updated.
The signal is too weak.
It takes longer than t_ur seconds to decode
audio or text data.
The currently selected XM channel is not
broadcasting signals.
The Channel Station ID (SID) is no longer
available.

and adjust the orientation t_r the best reception level.
Wait until the encryption code is updated.
Adjust the orientation of the indoor antenna of Home 5
