Hands Free Profile (HFP)
To use a obile phone with this unit, it is necessar to first establish a connection
using Bluetooth® wireless technolog . The connection is nor all established
using Hands Free Profile (HFP), which gives ou full control of functions available
on the obile phone source. However, depending on our obile phone, the
connection a be ade using Head Set Profile (HSP), aking so e functions
unavailable. This is a li itation of our obile phone, not the ADVUNI300.
Since there are a nu ber of Bluetooth® obile phone i ple entations available
on the arket, operations with our Bluetooth® obile phone using this unit var
greatl .
Please refer to the instruction anual that ca e with our Bluetooth® obile
phone along with this anual while operating our obile phone with this unit.
Pairing the Your Mobile Phone with the Unit
Your obile phone can initiate a search for new devices and pair to the unit. The
following paragraphs describes the pairing process.
Note: The following procedures are generic. Procedures for pairing mobile phones
may vary slightly from mobile phone manufacturer to mobile phone
manufacturer.
1. Touch the MENU on the front panel to access the source enu.
2. Touch the BT icon on the source enu and the Bluetooth® user interface
screen will appear.
3. Touch the Options icon and the following screen will appear:
4. On the Options sub enu set the Bluetooth function to ON.
5. On the Options sub enu set the Auto Connect function to ON.
6. Set the obile phone Bluetooth® discover ode to ON.
Note: Some discovery modes have a time limit usually a minute before they are
automatically turned OFF.
7. Touch the "Scan" icon on the unit's Bluetooth® user interface screen. Available
devices will appear with the "Pair" icon ne t to it.
