MP3/WMA Operation
MP3 is a for at for storing digital audio. An audio CD-qualit song can be
co pressed into the MP3 for at with ver little loss of qualit , while taking up
uch less space. Insert a MP3 Disc into the disc slot, label side up. Pla back begins
in MP3 ode when a disc is inserted correctl . The unit pla s the songs in the
order the were burned on to the disc. The enu for pla ing audio MP3 usic files
is the sa e as previousl described for CD discs.
Media and File Requirements
This pla er allows ou to pla back MP3 and WMA files recorded onto CD-R/RWs,
DVD+R/RWs, and DVD-R/RWs. For CD-RW discs, please ake sure it is for atted
using the full ethod and not the quick ethod to prevent illegal disc operation.
For the greatest file capacit , Dual La er DVD's can be used when burning usic to
a disc.
MP3 Format Compatibility
The file na ing for ats listed below are co patible with this unit:
ISO 9660 – file na e: 12 characters, file e tension: 3 characters
ISO 9660 – file na e: 31 characters, file e tension: 3 characters
Joliet – 64 characters
If the file or folder na e does not confor to ISO 9660 file s ste standards, it
a not be displa ed or pla ed back correctl . Use the following settings when
co pressing audio data for our MP3 disc:
Transfer Bit Rate: 128kbps
Sa pling Frequenc : 48kHz
When recording MP3 up to the a i u disc capacit , disable additional writing.
For recording on an e pt disc up to a i u disc capacit , use the "Disc at
once" setting.
MP3 Playing Order
When selected for pla , files and folders are accessed in the order the were
written b the CD writer. As a result, the order in which the are e pected to be
pla ed a not atch the order in which the are actuall pla ed. You a be
able to set the order in which MP3/WMA files are to be pla ed b writing the
onto a ediu such as a CD-R with their file na es beginning with pla sequence
nu bers such as "01" to "99".
