4-2 When Head Cleaning Is Not Effective

Performing More Powerful Cleaning

When the problems such as dot drop-out are not cleared up by the "normal cleaning," try the more
forceful "medium cleaning" or the even more forceful "powerful cleaning." Note, however, that this
consumes more ink than "normal cleaning," and too-frequent use may damage the print heads them-
selves. Avoid using it more than necessary.
In the same way as for normal cleaning, choose and clean only the group of a head that are incapable
of correct printing.

Choose "medium cleaning" or "powerful cleaning."
