Using Close Clearance Stove Pipe With Rear Heat Shield and NFPA 211
Protected Surface *
Residential and Mobile Home Installations for USA/Canada – Top Exit
Parallel Installation:
A: Side walls to stove: 8" (20 cm)
B: Back wall to stove: 9" (23 cm)
C: Back wall to pipe: 5" (13 cm)
Corner Installation:
A: Wall to stove corner: 5" (13 cm)
B: Wall to pipe: 11" (28 cm)
Note: The stove must be bolted to the floor when
installing it into a mobile home.
* The National Fire Protection Agency has
recommended
minimum
combustible surfaces. Following are two examples
of NFPA 211 non-combustible walls. To make a
wall non-combustible, protected it with a minimum
of 24 gauge sheet metal or a minimum of 4" (102
mm) of masonry, both with a 1" (25mm) air space
between the wall and the masonry or sheet metal.
Refer to NFPA 211 for a complete list of non-
combustible wall configurations.

Maintain 18" min. clearance between horizontal chimney connector and ceiling.
