Power Feature Setting (JP3)

Three power feature settings are provided for in the Vehicle Mounted Computer: igni-
tion input switch; power off / hard off delay; and low battery monitor. The functions
are controlled by adjusting the jumpers on the 10-pin connector, (JP3), as described
below.
4.3.2.1
Ignition Input Switch Setting
JP3 and BIOS settings determine whether the Vehicle Mounted Computer can be
activated by an ignition switch or not. By default JP3 is enabled. If you also change
the "Power on after power failure" to "always on" in BIOS (Appendix D), and connect
the ignition pin ( see section 2.2.1), this will enable automatic computer on/off with a
vehicle ignition/key. Ignition on/off is disabled by default or by disabling JP3.
