Remedy
Fill with oil conforming
to specifications.
Use mineral base oil. Climb
to cruise altitude at full
power and operate at 75%
cruise power setting until oil
consumption stabilizes.
In extremely cold weather
oil pressure readings up to
100 pounds do not nec-
essarily indicate malfunc-
tioning.
Rotate the crankshaft in the
counterclockwise direction
with throttle full open
and ignition switch OFF.
High or low pressure read
ings due to extremely cold
weather are not necessarily
a malfunction. Small and
long oil lines will not trans-
fer pressure readings accu-
rately until engine is quite
warm.
