frequency content. This module dynamically detects the sibilant, fricative sections of
the input audio and smoothes the same form that audio section only.
The slider controls include the Start Frequency, which specifies the frequency
threshold above which the processing is done; this can be varied from 4 kHz to 8 kHz.
The dial controls the intensity of processing done by the algorithm. A new user can
safely set the dial at 0.2 and the start frequency at about 6-8 kHz.
4.1.11 Final Look-Ahead Limiter
This module determines absolute maximum of the output. It ranges from
0dBFS to -20dBFS. Model Q24 uses a sophisticated look-ahead limiting algorithm
that ensures output will not exceed the full scale target set by this control and at the
same time hard-limiting will be avoided. It also works as software level controller for
Digital Output path. The control interface for the limiter on the TFT is as below.
