1.3 Management Overview

You can use the following ways to manage the ZyWALL.
Web Configurator
The Web Configurator allows easy ZyWALL setup and management using an
Internet browser. This User's Guide provides information about the Web
Configurator.

Command-Line Interface (CLI)
The CLI allows you to use text-based commands to configure the ZyWALL. You
can access it using remote management (for example, SSH or Telnet) or via the
console port. See the Command Reference Guide for more information about the
CLI.

COLOR STATUS DESCRIPTION
Green Off There is no traffic on this port.
Flashing The ZyWALL is sending or receiving packets on this
port.
Orange Off There is no connection on this port.
On This port has a successful link.
Orange Off The Ethernet link is down.
On The Ethernet link is up.
Green Off The system is not transmitting/receiving Ethernet
traffic.
Blinking The system is transmitting/receiving Ethernet traffic.
