Using directories
Transferring the directory to another handset
Preconditions:
u
The sending and receiving handsets must both be registered to the same base
station.
u
The other handset and the base station can send and receive directory entries.

Successful transmission is acknowledged with the message Entry copied. You can
transfer several individual entries one after the other by responding to the Next
entry? prompt with
Please note:
u
Entries with identical numbers are not overwritten on the receiving handset.
u
The transfer is cancelled if the phone rings or if the memory of the receiving
handset is full.
Copying a displayed number to the directory
You can copy numbers displayed in a list, e.g. the calls list or redial list, to the direc-
tory.
If you have CNIP, the first 16 characters of the transmitted name are copied to the
Enter name line.

Copying a number from the directory

There are many operating situations in which you can open the directory, e.g. to
copy a number. Your handset need not be in idle status.
