10.2 Correcting problems at the wet/dry vacuum cleaner

Problem
Appliance suddenly sets suction
power back to minimum.
The cleaning results are
unsatisfactory in spite of the
appliance working correctly.
Dust comes out.

Possible cause
The integrated overheating
protection has tripped (possibly due
to blocked suction channels, filters,
or similar).
The integrated float has triggered
due to the level of the dirty water in
the dirt tank being too high.
The dirt tank is full.
The motor protection filter is dirty.
Suction nozzle or suction hose are
blocked.
The motor unit has not been put on
properly.
The motor protection filter has not
been inserted when dry vacuum
cleaning.
The motor protection filter has
been inserted, but is damaged.
Solution
Switch the appliance off and pull
the appliance plug out of the
socket. Eliminate the cause of
overheating (e. g. remove blockage
and/or empty dirt tank). Wait for
about 45 minutes. After the
appliance has cooled off, you may
switch it on again.

Clean the motor protection filter,

Remove the obstruction.
Put the motor unit powerfully onto
the dirt tank until you can hear and
feel both retaining clips snap into
place.
