This submenu is used for configuring the computer peripherals.

Options
Description
• Disabled
Configures serial port A.
• Enabled
Auto assigns the first free COM port, normally COM1, the
address 3F8h, and the interrupt IRQ4.
• Auto (default)
An * (asterisk) displayed next to an address indicates a
conflict with another device.
• 3F8 (default)
Specifies the base I/O address for Serial port A, if Serial
port A is Enabled.
• 2F8
• 3E8
• 2E8
• IRQ 3
Specifies the interrupt for Serial port A, if Serial port A is
Enabled.
• IRQ 4 (default)
• Disabled
Configures Serial port B.
• Enabled
Auto assigns the first free COM port, normally COM2, the
• Auto (default)
address 2F8h, and the interrupt IRQ3.
An * (asterisk) displayed next to an address indicates a
conflict with another device.
If either serial port address is set, that address will not appear
in the list of options for the other serial port.
• Normal
Specifies the mode for Serial port B for normal (COM 2) or
(default)
infrared applications. This option is not available if Serial
• IrDA
port B has been disabled.

Specifies the base I/O address for serial port B.
