ASSEMBLING THE MOWER FOR THE FIRST TIME Continued.
Check that all fasteners are secure.
CS015
Check engine stop lever operation: Operate the engine
stop lever several times. Ensure that the cable moves freely
and that the lever returns automatically to the engine stop
position when released.
CS011
Check throttle lever operation: Operate the throttle lever
several times and ensure that the cable moves freely whilst
operating the engine throttle mechanism. Slight resistance
should be felt when the lever moves to the 'choke' position.
CS012
Check clutch lever operation: Operate the clutch lever
several times and ensure that the cable moves freely.
CS013
Charge the battery: Refer to "Maintenance" instructions.
Check 5 speed control lever for operation: Operate the
lever several times and ensure the cable moves freely. It may
be necessary to roll the machine backwards and forwards as
each speed is selected to ensure proper engagement. Do not
force the lever.
