EasyCoder 3240 Printer Getting Started
If your labels are not printing properly, check the following table to locate the
symptom and correct the problem.
Print Quality Problems
Symptom
Blotches on labels.
Printing is too light
or too dark.
Printing on label is
out of alignment.
Print quality is poor.

Possible Causes
Printhead is dirty.
Poor quality label or
ribbon stock.

Solution
Clean the printhead. See "Cleaning the Printhead"
later in this chapter.
Replace stock with Intermec Media Products label
and/or ribbon stock. See "Setting the Media
Sensitivity Number" later in this chapter to set the
correct media sensitivity numbers for Intermec media
and ribbon stock.
Change sensitivity setting to match the type of media
you are using. See "Setting the Media Sensitivity
Number" later in this chapter.
Change sensitivity setting to match the type of media

Clean the printhead. Refer to "Cleaning the
Printhead" later in this chapter.
Make sure that you installed the media correctly along
the entire media path. See "Loading Media for
Printing" in Chapter 1.
Change the sensitivity setting to match the type of
media you are using. See "Setting the Media
Sensitivity Number" later in this chapter.
Clean the printhead. See "Cleaning the Printhead" in
this chapter.
Adjust the bias adjust screw. See "Correcting Uneven
Print Quality" later in this chapter.
Use only Intermec label and ribbon stock to ensure
superior print quality and product performance. See
"Setting the Media Sensitivity Number" later in this
chapter to set the correct media sensitivity numbers
for Intermec media and ribbon stock.
Check to make sure that you installed the ribbon
correctly. See "Loading Thermal Transfer Ribbon" in
Chapter 1.
