If you have an external battery charger

Remove the battery pack (see page 45).

Use the external battery charger to charge the battery.

You can remove the battery and use an (optional) external charger to
charge it.

Removing the battery

To swap with a charged battery:
1.
Use one of the methods described in "Suspending operation"
on page 30 to suspend operation.
If a charged battery is not available:
Save your work and close all running programs; then shut
down the computer or put the computer in Hibernation mode
(see "Suspending operation" on page 30).
Note:
To avoid losing unsaved data, wait until the computer
has completed switching to Suspended mode before
removing the battery.
