8 Emergency Mode
8.1.10 Light Control Port Logic for
Emergency
This function operates the same as the Horn Control
Port Logic for Emergency.
You can toggle the Light Control logic between High
and Low.

8.1.11 Emergency Mic

Emergency Mic is used to select the microphone to
be used in the Emergency Mode.
Voice is transmitted when the transceiver is in the
Emergency Mode and the Emergency Mic is Normal.
The dispatcher will not be able to receive voice
signals when the handheld microphone is removed or
broken.
The transceiver has a terminal (EMGMIC) for
connecting another microphone.
Voice spoken to the microphone connected to the
EMGMIC terminal and the handheld microphone will
be automatically transmitted when the transceiver is
in the Emergency Mode and the Emergency Mic is
set to Internal Mic.
We recommend that you keep the microphone
connected to the EMGMIC terminal in a safe and
hidden location.
Note: You can connect any aftermarket microphone to the
EMGMIC terminal.

8.1.12 Emergency Display

This function allows you to program the display when
the transceiver enters the Emergency Mode.
Revert
The current display remains when the transceiver
enters the Emergency Mode.
Text
A pre-programmed message appears during the
Emergency Mode. The message may contain up
to 12 characters.
Note: The Emergency Display configuration is disabled when
the Secret Emergency function is programmed.

8.1.13 Emergency Cycle

This function allows you to program the number of
times that the transceiver switches between
transmission and receiption.
The transceiver switches between automatic
transmission and reception for the programmed
number of times. It enters normal operation when it
finishes the cycle. The transceiver continues to
switch between automatic transmission and
receiption when this function is programmed as
Continuous until reset.

8.1.14 Secret Emergency

This function allows you to select whether or not to
unmute the speaker in the Emergency Mode.
Enable
The transceiver mutes the speaker, and the busy
icon and transmission icon do not flash. We
recommend that you enable this function when
you do not want to emit any alert tones.
Disable
The transceiver emits the alert tone and the busy
icon and transmission icon flash.

8.1.15 Emergency Power Switch

This function allows you to select whether or not to
continue Emergency operation during the Emergency
Mode.
This function is available when the Secret Emergency
function is enabled.
Enable
You can continue automatic transmission and
reception even after turning the transceiver OFF.
When this function is enabled, the display simply
blacks out.
The transceiver transmits the user's voice even if
the transceiver is turned OFF.
Disable
The transceiver switches OFF.
Note: The Emergency Power Switch configuration is
disabled when Secret Emergency is disabled.
Note: The backlight of the Keypad Microphone flashes even
when the display blacks out. We recommend you use
the KMC-30 when using this function.
