Adjust Clutch Freeplay

1. Remove the operator's seat.
2. Remove the front and rear fuel tank screws.
3. Raise the rear of the fuel tank high enough to expose the clutch
cable. Support the rear of the fuel tank with a block of wood.
4. Slide the rubber cover off the cable adjuster, and loosen the
adjuster jam nut.
5. Turn the cable adjuster in or out until the clutch freeplay is
0.02-0.04 inch (.5-1.0 mm).
6. Tighten the adjuster jam nut and reinstall the rubber cover.
7. Reinstall and tighten the front and rear fuel tank screws.
Torque: 20 ft-lbs (27 Nm)
8. Reinstall the seat.
9. Verify that the safety switch activates so the motorcycle can not
be started in gear.
