Printing (optional)*
You can upgrade this machine to a
high-speed network printer by installing the
optional Color Network Multi-PDL Printer
Kit. This kit incorporates UFR (Ultra Fast
Rendering) Technology, which utilizes a
newly invented printing algorithm to
minimize file processing and achieve

maximum performance. It also supports PS
and PCL at maximized speeds.
Alternatively, installing the optional
imagePASS (PS controller) enables you to
use the machine not only as a PostScript
printer when loaded with Adobe PostScript
3 software, but also as an emulation printer
of PCL5.
imagePASS is an optional PS (PostScript)
controller that is attached to the back of the
machine. It can efficiently output various
data types, such as large and complex files
(which combine color graphics, photos, and
text), Adobe PostScript 3 files, detailed
graphics, etc.
To utilize the PDL printing feature, you must
install the optional Color Network Multi-PDL
Printer Kit or imagePASS.
*The optional imagePASS and Color Network
Multi-PDL Printer Kit cannot be installed at the
same time.
