Installation Site Suggestions

When determining an installation site for the XSR chassis, follow the guidelines outlined below:
For proper cooling, maintain a minimum clearance of 15.2 centimeters (6 inches) behind the
chassis and 5.08 centimeters (2 inches) of clearance on either side of the chassis.
If installing the XSR chassis as a free-standing unit on a shelf, ensure that the shelf can support
a minimum weight of approximately 8 1/2 pounds per fully loaded chassis plus the weight of
the connected network cables.
For access to the rear of the chassis, allow an area of 48.26 centimeters (19 inches) wide by 61
centimeters (24 inches) deep.
Note: For instructions on installing a balun and grounding shunt/terminal strip on E1 NIM cards only,
