Local Control On/Off

The Local Control setting determines whether the instrument will play an internal sound when the keys are pressed.
This setting is useful when using the CE220 digital piano to control an external MIDI device.

On
The instrument will play an internal sound and transmit information to an external MIDI device.
(default)
Off
The instrument will transmit information to an external MIDI device only.
1. Selecting the Local Control setting
Press and hold the TRANSPOSE and USB buttons simultaneously,
then press the SPLIT button.
The LED indicator for the SPLIT button will start to flash, and the
current Local Control setting will be shown in the LED display.
2. Changing the Local Control setting
Press the

VALUE buttons to change the Local Control
setting.
* The Local Control setting will return to the default setting of On after
the power is turned off.
* To change this default setting, and specify the preferred Local Control
setting to be selected automatically when the instrument is turned
on, please use the User Memory function explained on page 58.
