String Resonance

String Resonance refers to a phenomenon that exists in acoustic pianos whereby the strings of held notes resonate
'sympathetically' with other notes of the same harmonic series.
The CE220 digital piano recreates this phenomenon, with the String Resonance setting allowing the volume of this
resonance to be adjusted.
Demonstrating String Resonance
To experience the string resonance phenomenon, gently hold down the 'C' key as shown in the illustration below, then press any of
the keys marked with a
first 'C' key resonating 'sympathetically', thus demonstrating String Resonance.

1. Selecting the String Resonance setting
Press and hold the TRANSPOSE and USB buttons simultaneously,
then press the E.PIANO button.
The LED indicator for the E.PIANO button will start to flash, and
the current String Resonance setting will be shown in the LED
display.
2. Adjusting the String Resonance value
Press the
or
VALUE buttons to increase or decrease the
value of the String Resonance setting.
* The String Resonance value can be adjusted within the range of 1 - 10,
or disabled entirely (Off).
* The String Resonance setting will return to the default value of 5 after
the power is turned off.
* To change this default setting, and specify a preferred String Resonance
value to be selected automatically when the instrument is turned on,
please use the User Memory function explained on page 58.
