Positioning of the outdoor unit

It is now time to mount the outdoor unit. The unit
should be placed where there is good access to
outdoor air, not in a shed or garage etc. There
must be at least 4 m of free space in front of the
outdoor unit, and at least 10 cm between the back
of the outdoor unit and the wall. You must also take
into account that water runs from the outdoor unit
during the defrosting process. Heating cables in the
bottom tray ensure that water does not freeze in
the unit. However, ice may form on the ground
where the drain runs out.

Outdoor unit brackets

The brackets should, if possible, be fitted on a brick
wall. Make sure to use suitable and stable
attachments if mounting the unit on a wooden wall.
A ground stand is recommended for wooden walls.
Fit the brackets with a centre distance of 505 mm
(does not apply to 416-086) and at least half a
metre above the ground. In areas with a lot of snow
the distance to the ground should be increased to
ensure a good air supply and drainage.

Mounting the outdoor unit

The outdoor unit is placed on the wall brackets with
vibration dampers under the unit's feet.
Do not tighten the nuts too hard to avoid
compressing the rubber. This will reduce the
vibration damping properties of the rubber.
To ensure an adequate air flow, the distance
between the wall and outdoor unit must not be less
than 10 cm.
NOTE: Check that the outdoor unit is horizontal. It
is very important that the outdoor unit does not lean
forward too much, or to the right. If necessary,
adjust with additional shims under the feet.
