    User Manual of DS-7100NI Series NVR 2.1 Starting Up and Shutting Down the NVR Purpose: Proper startup and shutdown procedures are crucial to expanding the life of the NVR. Before you start: Check that the voltage of the extra power supply is the same with the NVR’s requirement, and the ground connection is working properly.

The NVR automatically enters Live View mode when powered on. Live View Icons In the live view mode, there are icons at the right top of the screen for each channel, showing the status of the record and alarm in the channel, so that you can know whether the channel is recorded, or whether there are alarms occur as soon as possible.

In the live view mode, once a motion detection event takes place, the NVR can analyze it and do many actions to handle it. Enabling motion detection function can trigger certain channels to start recording, or trigger full screen monitoring, audio warning, notify the surveillance center and so on.
