Before you start: Check that the voltage of the extra power supply is the same with the NVR’s requirement, and the ground connection is working properly.

The NVR automatically enters Live View mode when powered on. It is also at the very top of the menu hierarchy, thus pressing the ESC many times (depending on which menu you’re on) brings you to the Live View mode.

In the live view mode, once a motion detection event takes place, the NVR can analyze it and do many actions to handle it. Enabling motion detection function can trigger certain channels to start recording, or trigger full screen monitoring, audio warning, notify the surveillance center and so on.

Purpose: The device provides the HDD detection function such as the adopting of the S.M.A.R.T. and the Bad Sector Detection technique. The S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a monitoring system for HDD to detect and report on various indicators of reliability in the hopes of anticipating failures.
