CAUSES
7.Defective CD-R or CD-RW media.
CD-R or CD-RW media may be
dirty , scratched, or damaged.
8. Buffer underrun option is not
enabled in your software.
1.The CD-R or CD-RW disc was
originally written using other
software. If the software is
different, incompatibility errors
may occur .
2.Not enough disc capacity.
Capacity of a standard 74-min.
CD is limited to 650 MB.
Capacity of an 80-min. CD
is limited to 700 MB.
3.The disc is written on with a
CD-R or CD-RW drive from
another vendor .
1.Using poor quality media.
2.Buffer underrun occurring.
3.Using CD-RW media. This drive
does not support max speed with
CD-RW media.
4.Defective CD-R media.
5.Using authoring software
other than that bundled with
the veloCD.
6.CD-ROM drive used cannot read
data fast enough to record at
max speed.
1. Not using high-speed
CD-RW media.
SOLUTIONS
7.ReWrite using another CD-R or
CD-RW disc.
8. Ensure that the buffer underrun
option is enabled in the recording
menu before you write to your media.
1.Always use the same authoring
software to add content to a disc.
2.Use different CD-R or CD-RW
media if the capacity is insufficient.
3.Use a different CD-R or
CD-RW disc. T ry to use same drive
to add more data to CD-R or
CD-RW disc.
1.Use the CD-R/RW media
recommended by TDK. Supported
media lists can be found in
the Appendix.
2.Reduce the load on CPU resources.
Some ways to do this are:
Log off from the network.
•
Don't use the mouse.
•
Disable the screen saver or
•
power save mode.
Quit all other applications except
•
the authoring software.
3.Use CD-R media.
4.CD-R media may be dirty ,
scratched, or damaged. Rewrite
using another CD-R disc.
5. T o use other types of authoring
software, contact the supplier and
ensure the software support the
veloCD CD-RW drive.
6.Record to hard drive first, then
to veloCD.
1. The veloCD drive only supports
high-speed CD-RW media when
writing at speeds greater than 4x.
