Specify your drive's master or slave setting before installing it. You do this by changing the position of a jumper on the jumper block at the rear of the drive. Your drive ships from our factory with its jumper set to operate the veloCD ReWRITER as a master. Changing the Jumper on Your Internal veloCD ReWRITER As shown in Figure 5, the veloCD ReWRITER arrives from the factory with its jumper set to MASTER. -

If you don’t have an empty bay, remove the existing IDE CD-ROM drive and install the veloCD. You must make a minimum of two cable connections to your veloCD ReWRITER. TRAY LOADING AND OPERATION To load and unload the tray: 1. While the veloCD ReWRITER is powered up, push the Eject button on the front panel. The tray drawer slides out in 2–3 seconds. 2. Lay a blank CD in the depression in the tray, label side up. The CD should lie flat in the tray. -
