Adjusting the volume
U
se the volume control knob on the underside of the locomotive to adjust the volume. Refer
to Figure 2 on page 8 for the location of the volume control knob.
Silencing the diesel roar
T
o silence the diesel roar, use the volume control knob to turn the sound all the way down.
Refer to Figure 2 on page 8 for the location of the volume control knob.
Diesel exhaust
Y
our locomotive is equipped with a smoke unit that produces white smoke. When the
smoke unit switch is in the On position, always be sure that a few drops of smoke fluid
have been placed down the locomotive's stack/exhaust duct.
To turn the smoke unit off, slide the Smoke switch on the underside of the locomotive to the
Off position.
