Extension Searchlight Car

C
ongratulations on your purchase of the Lionel Extension Searchlight Car! The searchlight
is powered through track power by a four-foot-long cable. A handy crank stored on the car
winds the cable on and off its reel. The searchlight illuminates when the track is powered up.
The searchlight itself can remain secured to the car with its magnetic base or can be taken off
and placed anywhere along the track.

Searchlight lamp replacement

T
he searchlight is illuminated by one lamp (Lionel part no. 600-0363-300 for non-
Command layouts or Lionel part no. 600-1445-300 for Command Control layouts) avail-
able from your Lionel dealer or Lionel Service. To replace the lamp, remove the light housing
by bending apart the metal tabs. Push down on the lamp and turn clockwise to remove it. Slide
the new lamp into the socket and turn it counterclockwise to lock it in place.
