    Lionel Bay Window or Extended Vision Caboose! These cars feature fully detailed, lighted interiors, operating smoke units, and separately applied details. The trucks feature rotating roller bearing caps. The Bay Window and Extended Vision Cabooses are perfect for any O gauge layout with O-31 minimum curves.

    Installing the roof details wo small roof details have been packed separately to prevent damage in shipping. Install these pieces by pressing them into the locations shown in Figure 1.   • Page 4: Removing The Cupola (Extended Vision Caboose Only)

    The smoke generator requires the periodic addition of Lionel smoke fluid in order to function. A small tube of smoke fluid is included with this car. Pierce the end of the tube with a pin, then add five to eight drops of smoke fluid directly into the smokestack.

  • Page 5: Switching Your Smoke Generator On Or Off

    Switching your smoke generator ON or OFF s illustrated in Figure 5, the SMOKE unit switch is located on the bottom of your caboose. Sliding this switch to the ON position will activate the smoke generator. Be sure that you have added smoke fluid when the switch is in the ON position.

    Refer to Figure 5 on page 5 for the location of the ON/OFF switch. 2. Remove the two wire braces attached to the smokestack. Refer to Figure 6. Bay Window Caboose Gently pull the wires away from the stack and pull them out of the roof.

    Be careful that you do not scratch the paint when prying the tabs Caution! out of the slots. 5. Locate and unscrew the expired lamp(s). Refer to Figure 7. 6.     Lionel L.L.C. or an authorized Lionel L.L.C. Service Center, together with proof of original purchase will, at the option of Lionel L.L.C., be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. In the event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a replacement is not available, a refund of the original purchase price will be granted.
