Operation Eagle security caboose guards the train from any tail-end attack. In dramatic decoration, the Operation Eagle Justice train set offers a wide variety of action on your traditional layout. Each car in this special set includes an operating feature, includ- ing the Chalmers-type car that fires missiles, a rotating antenna on the radar car, the illumi- nated searchlight on the security car, and lighted containers on the traditional flatcar.

Refer to the following section for information on coupling the cars. Power up your locomotive with your transformer. Your locomotive is designed to operate on 7-15 volts alternating cur- rent. Virtually all Lionel and Lionel-compatible alternating-current transformers are suitable. Do not power your locomotive with direct-current (DC) transformers. Note! The locomotive was designed for use with alternating-current (AC) transformers only.
Locomotive operations Operating the TrainSounds sound system hen you power up the locomotive on the track, you will hear the sounds of the idling diesel motor. As you increase speed, the RPM sounds will ramp up through two levels. Horn Press the HORN button on your transformer to sound the horn.

Running your train Reverse unit procedure hen the Electronic E-unit Direction Lock switch is in the RUN position, your locomotive sequences through a repeating pattern of operations: forward, neutral, reverse, neutral, and so on. To lock your locomotive into forward direction only operation, you can deactivate the Electronic E-unit’s sequencing function.

Refer to Figure 4. Carefully remove the lamp assembly from the bracket, then gently pull the expired lamp from its socket. Replace the expired lamp with Lionel part no. 630-8352-311, available from your authorized Lionel Service Center or Lionel Service. For more information, see page 16.
Operating Radar Car Replacing the lamp in your Operating Radar Car our Operating Radar Car is illuminated by a small lamp, Lionel part no. 600-2314-300. During the course of normal operations, this lamp may require replacement. Replacement lamps are available at your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel Service.
Missile Firing Car Firing the missiles ollow these step sand refer to Figure 7 as you operate this car. Use only the projectiles included with this product. Do not aim the projectile and/or launching mechanism at any person. Adult supervision is recommended. Keep clear of the missiles and launching mechanism.

Simply lift off the searchlight housing and base to access the expired lamp, then press down and turn the expired lamp to remove it. Refer to Figure 9. Replace it with Lionel part no. 600-0363-300, available at your Authorized Lionel Service Center.
Refer to Figure 10 below. Unscrew the lamp and replace it with Lionel part no. 610-6666-301, available at your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel Service. Press the container back onto the base to complete the lamp replacement.
