Web Apps from Google Mobile™

Web apps are apps that run in the mobile browser.
They work just like normal programs and are some-
times referred to as Web 2.0. They are not stored local-
ly on the tw700, so you must be online through Wi-Fi
or mobile data in order to use them. In contrast, the lo-
cal apps (the ones in the Launcher) do not need to be
online unless they want to get data from the internet.
The Google Mobile™ apps page at
le.com links to a selection of Google™ apps which are
adapted for the screen size of a mobile browser. Some
of the apps require you to login to a Google™ ac-
count.
Currently, you can use the following Google™ web
apps on the tw700:

Google Search™

Mobile version of Google Search™.

Google Mail™

Browser-based Email program for Google™ email
accounts.

Google News™

Read news and get news headlines. Visit
news.google.com on your PC for more informa-
tion.

Access and configure personalised information
feeds such as news headlines, financial, weather,
mail and movies.
Access and edit online photo albums.
View online movies. The tw700 software is not
currently compatible with the YouTube video for-
mat, unfortunately.
Online version of the calendar app. The online ver-
sion of the calendar is synchronised with Google
Calendar™ on your PC. You can also access the
calendar directly with m.google.com/calendar.
Access news feeds. Visit reader.google.com on
your PC for more information.
Allows you to create and edit office documents
such as text files and spreadsheets. The documents
are stored on the Google™ servers and can also be
accessed and edited using a PC. Visit
