Trouble
Windshield Washer/Wiper for Enclosed Cab—GENERAL (cont'd)
Wiper motor parks
but above the
normal position.
Windshield
washer pump runs
but doesn't spray
fluid on
windshield.
Windshield
washer pump
doesn't run.
Air Circulation Fan Switch and Fan Motor for Enclosed Cab—GENERAL
Air Circulation Fan
Doesn't Run.
Heater doesn't
produce heat with
coolant at
operating
temperature and
heater fan
running.
Model 6036 S/N 9B0499 and Before
Probable Cause
1. With the ignition switch in
RUN and the wiper switch
in PARK, remove
connector from wiper
motor terminal P. Use a
test lamp to check for an
OPEN between terminal P
to ground.
2. If the lamp lights repair
open in motor or replace
holder assembly.
3. If the lamp doesn't light,
check arm and blade
location and transmission
linkage.
1. Reservoir is empty.
2. Washer fluid is frozen.
3. Washer nozzle or hoses
are clogged.
4. Broken, kinked, or
disconnected hoses.
1. Broken washer/wiper
switch.
2. Wire 33 between switch
and washer pump motor is
broken.
3. Broken washer pump
motor.
1. Wire 30 from circuit
breaker (12) is broken.
2. Fan switch or motor is
broken.
Cab Heater for Enclosed Cab—GENERAL
1. Coolant shut off valve in
the OFF position.
2. Heater hoses clogged,
kinked or crushed.
3. Dirty heater core.
Remedy
If the lamp lights, proceed to
step 2; if the lamp doesn't
light, proceed to step 3.
Repair or replace as required.
Repair or replace as required.
Fill reservoir.
Use windshield washer fluid
with a low freeze point for low
temperature operations.
Clean or replace nozzle and
hoses.
Repair, replace, or connect
hoses.
Test switch for continuity in
the washer, depressed
position; if switch is open,
replace switch.
Repair or replace wire.
Replace washer reservoir
assembly.
Repair or replace wire.
Replace air circulation fan
assembly.
Turn shut off valve to the ON
position.
Repair or replace heater
hoses.
Disassemble heater and clean
heater core as described in
paragraph 10.12.1 & 10.12.2.
