YAMAHA DMC-1000 QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
SYSTEM SETUP: (Use Previous and Next keys in LCD Control Section)
• Select WCLK Sel. for Word Clock status: If console is master, set to Internal. If
slave, set to proper digital input connector (example:AES Ch 1/2).
• Select I. Format for input format. Set to DIO for AD8X converter, AES for AES
sources.
• Select Config. for user's preference list. Activate desired features and screens
etc.
• Select Memory 1 key, assemble first mix snapshot and press Store.
AUTOMATION: (Use keys in Automation and LCD Control Sections)
• Double click AUTO key. Check for Sync = Time Code. (Check for SMPTE
TC input on Time Code screen).
• Select F1 (Track Edit). cursor to Clear All automation tracks.
• Select Record (track 1 key will light).
• Start SMPTE coded audio source with 5 seconds of preroll. DMC automation
recording will begin automatically when track 1 key blinks quickly.
• Select Recall of Memory 1 during audio preroll. This will record the initial
snapshot into automation. Build a mix when audio program begins. Both
Dynamic and Snapshot mix parameters will be memorized.
• Start audio source from same SMPTE preroll time. Track 1 key will blink slowly
and play back all mix data.
• To UPDATE existing mix, select F3 (Insert) mode and Record key again. Start
audio source. When track 1 key blinks quickly, begin revising the mix. Notice
new / old fader level status on LCD bargraph display.
DMC REBOOT: (three recalibration levels if some console functions do not
operate).
• Fader Calibration only: Recall memory 3, Store 0. (Faders will move in steps).
• DSP Reset (for re-initializing clock status): Scroll LCD Previous / Next keys to
WCLK Sel., select F1, cursor to DSP reset and select ON+1 key.
• System Initialize (for complete console reboot to original factory default
settings). Scroll LCD Previous / Next keys to Sys.Init., cursor to Execute and
select ON+1 key twice. This is the best method for clearing a "confused"
console.
