Hardware specifications

Cooling system and fans

The fans cool the CPU, main memory, and voltage regulators. For the FCX624S, FCX648S,
FCX624S-F, FCX624-HPOE, and FCX648-HPOE switches, the fans use either a push or pull
configuration to move the air from the right side of the device to the left side of the device.

For the FCX624-E and FCX648-E models, the air flows from the front to the rear of the device. For
the FCX624-I and FCX648-I models, the air flows from the rear to the front of the device.

Operating noise is based on the ISO 7779 standard.

CAUTION
For the FCX624-E, FCX624-I, FCX648-E, and FCX648-I devices, be sure that the airflow direction
of the power supply unit matches that of the installed fan tray. The power supplies and fan trays
are clearly labeled with either a green arrow with an "E", or an orange arrow with an "I" as shown
