Honeywell Bendix/King AV8OR Ace User's Guide
•
If the flight plan source is the external GPS, then the flight
plan is captured and cross-referenced to the internal
database.
•
The following warning message is displayed that requires
pilot confirmation.
"The external GPS source is no longer available. The GPS
source has been changed to the internal GPS backup. GPS
limited to VFR use only. PRESS OK TO ACKNOWLEDGE".
•
Touching the OK soft key closes the message window.
•
If the external GPS source becomes valid again for a period
of more than 5 seconds, the AutoNav function automatically
switches back to the external GPS source.
•
The following warning message window is displayed that
requires pilot confirmation.
"The external GPS source is now available. The GPS source
has been changed to the external GPS source. PRESS OK
TO ACKNOWLEDGE".
Tapping the OK soft key closes the message window.
If the external GPS signal is lost for more than 5 seconds:
•
The AV*OR ACE changes back to the internal GPS antenna.
•
A warning message shows that needs to be acknowledged
by the pilot.
•
After the OK soft key is tapped, the message window closes.
If the external GPS source becomes valid again for a period of more
than 5 seconds:
•
The AV8OR switches back to the external GPS antenna.
•
A warning message shows that needs to be acknowledged
by the pilot.
•
After the OK soft key is tapped, the message window closes.
