level. Remove the glass jug from the base and shake it to distribute the remaining pieces.

seconds at the lowest speed level.

Blend the chocolate for approximately 10 seconds at the lowest speed level.
Sauce
If the sauce is uneven, it can be blended. Remove the stopper and pour the sauce carefully
through the hole in the lid while blending at lowest speed level. Read the instructions in the
section 'Mixing with hot liquid'. Blend for 5 seconds or until the sauce is even.
Vegetables
Cabbage, carrots, onions, peppers, potatoes, etc. can be chopped in the blender. Pour 500 g
diced vegetables into the glass jug. Cover with water. Blend at lowest speed setting until the
desired consistency is reached. Vegetables can be strained in a colander for drainage.
Hummus
550 g boiled chick peas
½ cup of lemon juice
1 tsp sesame oil
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp salt
Water

red pepper and Garlic dip
4 big garlic cloves
¼ cup (60 ml) fresh basil leaves (packaged)
2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
2 tsp (10 ml) hot chilli sauce
1 cup grilled red peppers*
225 g fresh cheese
Pour garlic and basil into the blender. Blend for 5-10 seconds or until the ingredients are
coarsely chopped. Add the remaining ingredients. Blend at highest speed level until the
consistency is uniform. Serve as dip with crackers or fresh vegetables. Cover the dip if it is
stored in the refrigerator.
Grilled red peppers are available from several shops but you can also make your own:
place 4 peppers – in halves and de-seeded - on a baking sheet, cut side down. Set the
oven to grill or high temperature. Keep an eye on the pepper fruits. Take the peppers out
of the oven when their skins have turned black and allow them to rest for approximately
15 minutes. Remove the black skins from the peppers and they are ready for use.
