This submenu allows you to specify the basic operation settings for the Fax mode.

Descriptions
Specify the telephone line settings.
Your telephone and fax number can be registered. (p. 1-14)
Selects the telephone line type. (p. 1-10)
The telephone line is set for touch-tone dialing (default).
The telephone line is set for rotary pulse dialing.
Sets the transmission speed for all documents you send.
33600bps (default)/14400bps /9600bps/7200bps/
4800bps/2400bps
Sets the transmission speed for all documents you receive.

4800bps/2400bps
You can register your name (or your company's name).

Prints your ID (transmitting terminal ID) on each page you send.

OUTSIDE IMAGE: Terminal ID is printed outside the image
border (default.).
INSIDE IMAGE: Terminal ID is printed inside the image border.
Selects the prefix for the identification header number.

Set the density of the documents.
Set for dark documents.
Set for documents of normal density (default.).
Set for light documents.
