Look   f or   l oose   w ire   a nd   r econnect.   R efer   t o  
circuit   d iagram   f or   t erminal   i dentification.  
Repair   o r   r eplace   a ny   l oose   t erminal.  
Test   c apacitor.   R eplace   i f   n ot   w ithin   ± 10%  
of   m anufacturer's   r ating.   R eplace   i f   s horted,  
open,   o r   d amaged.  
Check   t he   w ire   c onnections;   i f   l oose,   r epair  
or   r eplace   t he   t erminal.   I f   t he   w ires   a re  
disconnected,   r efer   t o   w iring   d iagram   f or  
identification,   a nd   r eplace   t he   w ires.   C heck  
the   w ire   c onnections;   i f   n ot   a ccording   t o  
the   w iring   d iagram,   c orrect   t he  
connections.  
Check   t he   c apacitor.   R eplace   i f   n ot   w ithin  
±10%   o f   m anufacturer's   r ating.   R eplace   i f  
shorted,   o pen,   o r   d amaged.  
Check   t he   c ompressor   f or   o pen   c ircuit   o r  
ground.   I f   o pen   o r   g rounded,   r eplace   t he  
compressor.  
Check   t he   c ompressor   O .L.P.   i f   e xternally  
mounted.   R eplace   i f   o pen.   ( If   t he  
compressor   t emperature   i s   h igh,   r emove  
O.L.P.,   c ool,   a nd   r etest.)  
Check   r oom   h umidity   w ith   h ygrometer.    
Increase   r oom   t emperature.    
This   u nit   i s   d esigned   t o   b e   o perated   a t  
temperatures   a bove   4 1   ° F  
Make   s ure   t here   a re   n o   c urtains,   b linds   o r  
furniture   b locking   t he   f ront   o r   b ack   o f   t he  
dehumidifier.  
Check   a ll   d oors,   w indows   a nd   o ther  
openings   t o   e nsure   t hey   a re   s ecurely   c losed  
to   p revent   m oisture   f rom   r e-­‐entering   r oom.  
Check   f an   m otor,   r epair   o r   r eplace   i t.  
Clean   t he   a ir   f ilter.
