If   c racked,   o ut   o f   b alance,   o r   p artially  
missing,   r eplace   i t.  
Replace   c ompressor.  
Find   l oose   s crews   a nd   t ighten   t hem.  
If   k nocking   s ounds   c ontinue   w hen  
running,   o r   i f   s haft   i s   l oose,   r eplace   t he  
motor.   I f   n oise   c ontinues,   o r   i f   n oise  
appears   t o   b e   o utside   t he   m otor   w hen  
running,   r eplace   m otor   a ssembly.  
Check   a ll   w ater   c onnections   a nd   r epair   a s  
needed.  
Check   w ater   p ump   a nd   f loat   s witch    
The   p ump   b asin   m ust   b e   p roperly  
positioned   b y   k eeping   u nit   u pright.    
Tighten   a ny   l oose   w ater   c onnections.  
Move   d ehumidifier   f or   f ree   a nd  
unobstructed   a ir   f low.  
Clean   d ust   o r   d irt   o n   t he   e vaporator   c oils  
If   f an   i s   n ot,   d etermine   t he   c ause.  
Replace   i f   r equired.  
Check   e lectrical   c ircuit.   R epair   a s   n eeded.  
equalize   b efore   s tarting   c ompressor.  
Test   t he   c apacitor.  
Check   t he   t erminals.   I f   l oose,   r epair   o r  
replace.  
Check   t he   s ystem   f or   a   r estriction.  
Check   O .L.P.,   i f   e xternally   m ounted.  
Replace   i f   o pen.   ( If   t he   c ompressor  
temperature   i s   h igh,   r emove   t he   O .L.P.,  
cool,   a nd   r etest.)  
Repair   g as   l eak.  
 
Replace   B attery
