our locomotive is equipped with
two traction tires, Lionel part
no. 650-1007-206. These rubber tires
increase the tractive effort of your
locomotive, allowing it to pull more cars at
once. During the course of normal

Caring for the locomotive's antenna

T
he entire removable roof panel serves as
your locomotive's antenna. This section
of the roof must not touch any metal part of
the locomotive to ensure optimum
reception.
When removing the roof panel to access
operation, the traction tires may become
worn out. To replace the traction tires, use a
small flat head screwdriver to slip the tire off
the wheel and out from the truck side, then
slip the new tire around the wheel.
the switches or the battery harness, take care
to keep the insulating material intact and
the wire connected to the circuit board. Be
sure to position the insulating washers when
below the screws when you replace the roof
panel.
